The Traveler is a travel cribbage board that
folds in two with a clever little bi-lever design that is offset with a small metal plate on each side. This is a board that can be folded in half without the use of traditional hinges.

The board shown in the photos as well as the original box are in primo condition. It’s as if we just walked in to a five and dime and pulled the box from the shelf.  This is the perfect type of board, and box combination for a vintage cribbage board collection.

An article hosted at http://www.cribbage.org/collect/article4.asp mentions that the  Are-Jay Game Company – was purchased by Crisloid (rhode island)  in 1973. Being that the box is stamped Are-Jay Game Company so we will presume this board was manufactured pre “1973” , before Crisloid took over.

By itself the board is not terribly extraordinary, however with the original box and being in such fine condition we’d guess this board could bring from $15.00-$25.00 at current auction.
